Miami took a 2-1 series lead by beating Indiana by 18pts on the road. Miami changed their offensive strategy by deploying Lebron James in the post, resulting in Miami outscoring Indiana 56-32 in the paint. After committing 2 turnovers in the final minute of game 2, Lebron tallied zero turnovers this game. Miami committed only 1 turnover in the first half (a Heat playoffrecord), and only 5 in the game. Miami also scored a playoff-high 34pts in a quarter, and a team playoff record 70pts in a half.
Indiana’s David West had 21pts, 10reb and Roy Hibbert had 20pts, 17reb. Lebron finished with 22pts (18 in the first half) and Wade finished with 18pts, 8asts. All 5 Miami starters scored in double figures. Chris Andersen has made 16 consecutive shots in these playoffs.
