2013 NBA Playoff Round 2 - Game Day 7

SAS (2) @ GSW (6) – Game 4

The warriors evened the series at 2-2 at home, beating the Spurs by 10 in overtime. GSW rallied back from down 8pts in the last 5min, then went on a 9-0 run at the start of overtime to put away the Spurs. Golden State and the San Antonio both struggled offensively, shooting 38 and 35.5% from the field respectively. GSW did not commit a turnover from the end of the 3rd qtr onwards.

Stephen Curry, still nursing a sore ankle, recorded 22pts (5-of-10 3pters). GSW rookie Harrison Barnes scored a career-high 26pts (11pts in the 4th qtr and OT) and Jarrett Jack added 24pts. Spurs’ Manu Ginobili scored 21pts, and Tim Duncan 19pts, 15reb, his 142nd career playoff double-double (tied with Shaq for 3rd in NBA history).

Game 4 marked the first time that Golden State had won 2 games after the first round since 1977. It was also the first game that went to overtime since Golden State moved its arena to the Bay Area. Game 5 returns to San Antonio, and Game 6 will be in Golden State. Game 7 (if needed) will be in San Antonio.
